Washington Twp., N.J. – June 6, 2014 -Roger Lai, attorney at Cooper Levenson, was installed as the 83rd president of the Burlington County Bar Association on June 6, 2014 at the Bradford Estate in Hainesport, N.J. Members of the Asian Pacific American Lawyer Association were in attendance as Roger was sworn in as the first Asian American to serve in this role.
“I am looking forward to an active year of professional growth and community service opportunities for our members,” said Lai. “I am thrilled to accept this role and honored to be the first Asian American to serve the Burlington County Bar Association as president,” he added.
Lai has been active in the Burlington County Bar Association, and most recently served as vice president. He is the former recipient of the Robert W. Criscuolo Award in recognition of his outstanding dedication and service to the Burlington County Bar Association and to the Burlington County community at large. He also was named a Rising Star in Business Litigation by the New Jersey Law & Politics Magazine from 2010-2013.
Lai is a sought-after speaker, having presented educational programs on the topic of electronic discovery for the New Jersey State Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association and Burlington County Bar Association. He also has presented programs on attorney ethics, use of expert witnesses and federal practice.
He is a member of the New Jersey State and Camden County Bar Associations and the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association.
