NFL’s Barrett Brooks Is Special Guest At Captain’s Table To Benefit Hungry Families

What: Football commentator and former NFL player Barrett Brooks to interview chefs and attendees at the 2nd Annual Captain’s Table Reception at Progressive Atlantic City Boat Show

When: Thursday, February 4, 2016, 6-9 p.m.

Where: Atlantic City Convention Center, 1 Convention Center Drive, Atlantic City, N.J.

Captain’s Table chefs and guests will have an opportunity to meet Barrett Brooks, former National Football League (NFL) player, Super Bowl champion and sports television personality. Brooks will be conducting interviews for a video on the event.

In his decade with the NFL, Brooks played for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and in the Super Bowl for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has since taken positions in front of, and behind the camera, working for NFL Films, ESPN, and is a regular contributor of Comcast SportsNet’s Philly Sports Talk and Quick Slants, and CSN’s new show, Breakfast on Broad.

The Captain’s Table will feature dishes from 20 of the area’s top chefs, along with an elaborate array of desserts and drinks. Guests are encouraged to come early to tour the boats, yachts and other watercraft at the exhibit. Admission to the Boat Show on Feb. 4 is included in the gala ticket price.

Proceeds from the Captain’s Table VIP reception will benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey’s Southern Branch and “Let Us Eat, Please,” a free meal program that is designed to fill the gap left when school is not in session, leaving students who get free or reduced-rate breakfast and lunch without those meals.
