Cooper Levenson Attorneys Named Trustees for Atlantic County Bar

Margate, N.J. June 12, 2014 – Two associates at Cooper Levenson were sworn in as trustees for the Atlantic County Bar Association on Friday, June 6, 2014 at an installation event held at Lucy the Elephant in Margate, N.J. Rebecca C. Lafferty is beginning her second term, and Sheila F. Hughes her third term, on the Atlantic County Bar Association Board of Trustees.
Rebecca C. Lafferty is an associate of the firm and member of Cooper Levenson’s Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury and Governmental Services practice groups. She is based in the firm’s Atlantic City office and focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation of every type, as well as motor vehicle personal injury matters.
In addition to her practice, Rebecca sits on the Atlantic County Child Placement Review Board and serves as the County Coordinator for the Atlantic County Mock Trial program. She is also the Immediate Past Chair of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Atlantic County Bar Association.
Sheila F. Hughes, an associate in the firm’s Atlantic City office, handles commercial and business law matters in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department. Sheila also works with the firm’s Maritime Law group assisting various clients involved in commercial fishing, recreational boating, marina, and marine construction industries on a wide range of issues related to maritime law and litigation.
She is the past chair of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Atlantic County Bar Association and she remains an active member of the YLD’s Executive Committee. Sheila is a founding member of SoPro Atlantic City, a young professional networking organization in the Greater Atlantic City region focused on connecting the area’s future leaders.
