Atlantic City, N.J. – June 29, 2017 –Yolanda N. Melville, an attorney at Cooper Levenson, has been selected as a panelist for the 108th annual convention of the NAACP at the Baltimore Convention Center on July 22-26, 2017. The NAACP is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization.
Melville will be presenting a CLE program with H. Clay Smith, III, Assistant Disciplinary Counsel for the D.C. Bar, on the “Pitfalls of Solo/Small Firm Practitioners.” She will provide insight regarding issues encountered by new attorneys, such as social media marketing and effective communication with clients. Melville is a member of Cooper Levenson’s Land Use, Zoning and Planning and Education/School Law practice groups. She works on various land use issues, including commercial development, redevelopment, real estate, affordable housing and litigation. She also assists the Education Law Department in the defense of claims of violations of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, as well as federal litigation matters, including alleged civil rights and IDEA violations. Melville is based in the firm’s Atlantic City office.
