Yolanda N. Melville of Cooper Levenson, Attorneys at Law, will headline a free webinar, “Dimensions of Diversity: Why Diversity Matters for Your Business,” on Wed., Feb. 10, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. on Zoom. The webinar is part of the HR Law Series presented by the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce.
The program will feature a discussion of the dimensions of diversity, including age, gender, religion, race, ethnicity, and disability. Melville also will address how notions of diversity have evolved, how the definitions of “protected classes” have changed over time, and why diversity is important in employment practices.

About the Speaker
Melville is the National Chair of the NAACP NextGen Alumni Committee. She has served on numerous national panels, including at NAACP National Convention CLE program in 2017. She recently spoke on the topic, “Educating the Younger Generation on Civil Rights and Legal Issues,” at the 2020 National Bar Association conference.
At Cooper Levenson, she is a member of the Land Use, Zoning and Planning and Education/School Law practice groups. She assists the Education Law Department in the defense of claims of violations of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, as well as federal litigation matters, including alleged civil rights and IDEA violations. Melville is based in the firm’s Atlantic City office.
