School COVID-19 Dashboard

To Our School Board Community:

We have been trying to anticipate and quickly respond to your questions during this time, given the unprecedented challenges presented to our Boards related to COVID-19. We wanted to bring to your attention a new data set on the New Jersey State Website COVID-19 Dashboard. The State is now reporting County School COVID-19 cases on its COVID-19 Dashboard. Under New Jersey Law N.J.A.C. 6A: 16-2.2 (d), each school district shall immediately report by telephone to the health officer of the jurisdiction in which the school  is located any communicable diseases identified as reportable pursuant to N.J.A.C. 8:57-1, whether confirmed or presumed. The Dashboard breaks down County School cases into two categories (1) Confirmed outbreaks traced to in-school transmission by LHD investigation and (2) Cases linked to confirmed outbreaks associated with in-school transmission. The link can be found here.
