Katlin Trout, Esq. named to Atlantic County Mental Health Advisory Board

Katlin Trout, an attorney in the Atlantic City law firm of Cooper Levenson, Attorneys at Law, has been named to the Atlantic County Mental Health Advisory Board (MHAB.) The 12-member volunteer board serves as an advocate and advisor to County Executive Dennis Levinson and the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) for the development of mental health services to the community. Board members become thoroughly acquainted with those programs of the division and related social services and regularly review all such programs. The Board advises and makes recommendations on the development of policies and procedures covering community mental health programs “I look forward to serving as a member of the Atlantic County Mental Health Advisory Board, a volunteer group that is committed to the support of mental health services in Atlantic County,” said Trout.

The Atlantic County Mental Health Advisory Board consists of several committees, including: a Contract Review committee that reviews all contracts to community mental health agencies that receive funding through the DMHS, and reviews and makes recommendations on Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for mental health services; a Planning Committee that develops goals and objectives for the board, and develops future direction for mental health services in Atlantic County; and a Professional Advisory Committee, made up of local professionals who keep the board abreast of issues of importance.
