Cooper Levenson Mourns the Passing of Partner Mark Soifer

Mark Soifer, a partner at Cooper Levenson, Attorneys at Law, passed away on June 19, 2020.

Mark had more than 30 years of experience litigating commercial and business disputes. He also had an extensive practice before the Chancery Courts, especially in general equity matters. He was also an experienced and successful mediator on the New Jersey roster of mediators, and  frequently served as an arbitrator or mediator of commercial disputes throughout New Jersey.

“Truly a ‘lawyer’s lawyer,’ Mark was an accomplished attorney, an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, and well liked in the law firm and in the community,” said Lloyd D. Levenson, Chief Executive Officer of the firm. “He will be sorely missed,” he added.

Mark was a barrister and member of the Executive Committee of the Vincent S. Haneman American Inn of Court. An avid supporter of the arts, Mark served on the Board of Trustees of Bay Atlantic Symphony, including as President for several years.

Mark was rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Business Litigation. A graduate of Brown University, (A.B. 1970) and Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University (J.D., cum laude, 1974).
