Cooper Levenson Announces New Partners

Atlantic City, N.J. — Dec. 28, 2021 — Cooper Levenson is pleased to announce two attorneys as the firm’s newest partners: Jennifer B. Barr of the Atlantic City office and Brittany A. Bonetti, based in Cherry Hill and Atlantic City.

Jennifer B. Barr, based in the firm’s Atlantic City office, leads the firm’s Appeals and Research practice group. She has more than twenty years of experience in civil and criminal appeals. Before joining Cooper Levenson in 2017, Barr was a solo practitioner in the areas of civil appeals, criminal appeals, post-conviction relief appeals, and termination of parents rights appeals. She served as a judicial clerk in the Appellate Division for The Honorable Steven Z. Kleiner, J.A.D. during the 1998-99 term. Barr graduated from Rutgers Law School – Newark and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Barr is licensed to practice in New Jersey, and is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the District Court of New Jersey. Outside of her practice, Barr serves on the Board of Trustees for the Bay Atlantic Symphony, as a mentor for the Stockton University Women’s Leadership Counsel, and is on the Board of Trustees for the Margate Community Church.

Brittany A. Bonetti, based in Atlantic City and Cherry Hill, is a member of the firm’s Healthcare, Cannabis, and Tax Law Practice Groups. Bonetti assists hospitals and health systems, medical staffs, individual physicians and physician groups in business and regulatory legal matters of all types, including HIPAA and HITECH compliance. Her background includes preparation and negotiation of a variety of health related agreements including business associate, physician/mid-level employment and shareholders agreements; advice regarding Stark, Fraud and Abuse, Anti-Kickback and state regulatory concerns related to specific arrangements; and preparation of Medical Staff Bylaws. Bonetti graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Rutgers School of Public Health. She graduated with a Juris Doctor from the Rutgers School of Law, Camden. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Bonetti is a sought-after speaker on New Jersey medical marijuana and cannabis law. She was named to the 2021 New Jersey Super Lawyers list as a Rising Star. She was also named by SJ Magazine as a 2021 “Top Attorney” in Healthcare Law.
